Because God LOVES us SO MUCH, He listens to our prayers and answers them in the best way possible for our lives right now. Scripture is filled with passages about asking God, being faithful in prayer and most of all the answered prayer of a Savior.
Inside a fish?! Can you imagine what that prayer must have sounded like?! This verse reminds me that no matter what the situation, God will hear your prayer! You might be afraid to seek God in a sticky situation, but that is exactly when he wants to hear your prayers!
Our belief in a loving God draws us closer to Him and what He seeks for our lives.
Jesus Christ himself prayed for us and he was God! Jesus knew what we would face after he died for our sins, rose again in victory and ascended into heaven. He knew the journey would not be easy, but he prayed for our protection. You will notice that he didn't pray for us to come to heaven, but he prayed for our preparation against Satan. It would be easier to be in heaven, but we are called to serve God and seek him in prayer in our time of need. God’s LOVE still answers our prayers, filling our biggest need by sending the Savior, who died for our sins, giving us forgiveness and His grace every single day.
God's love is faithful in prayer! He sets the example for us to be faithful in prayer as well!
