Getting Started
Welcome—we’re so glad you’re here! Visual Faith® is about slowing down, paying attention, and meeting God in creative ways. You don’t need to be an artist to begin. This is a journey of process, not product, and it starts with a simple step: showing up.

Pray
Ask God: What is He calling me to be and to do?

-
Is He inviting you into a daily deep dive into His Word?
-
Into a life of dedicated prayer?
-
Into sharing your faith with your family in engaging ways?
Prayer is the first step in discerning your path.
Discern
Consider your capacity for daily devotional time. Visual Faith® Ministries offers resources, ideas, and projects to help you grow. The goal is always a deeper relationship with Jesus—slowing down, paying attention, and letting distractions fade.

Contain It
Choose how you’ll record and reflect:
-
Index cards
-
A composition notebook
-
Everyday Practices journal from the VFM Bookstore
It’s perfectly fine to experiment and shift as you settle into your devotional rhythm.
Decide
Where is the Holy Spirit leading you?
-
Devotional Journaling: Reflect on a passage, sermon, or devotional thought, then respond with words, prayers, and simple visuals.
-
Daily Gratitude: Record one or two things you’re thankful for each day, cultivating a heart of praise.
-
Scripture Scribing: Write out passages of Scripture slowly and intentionally, letting God’s Word sink deeper into your heart.
Pick one practice and commit to trying it.

Try It
Jump in and begin. Adjust as you go. Invite a friend to join you, and “travel with Jesus together.”

Give Grace
You will miss a day—or even a week. That’s okay.
-
Write “grace” in the blanks when days are missed.
-
Remember: God shows up even when we do not. He is always faithful.
