God has gifted us with His Word and with prayer. The Bible itself is a conduit for conversation with God. At Visual Faith Ministry, the practice of Praying Scripture is a blending of the gifts of prayer and God’s Word. Praying Scripture is simply taking a passage in Scripture as a starting point and then using it to praise God for Who He is, to thank God for His goodness in your life, to lament the obstacles in your path, to confess your sins, to ask for God's intervention, to intercede for others, or to gain insight into learning how to live differently. The practice of Praying Scripture provides words when you have no idea what to pray or where to begin.

Scripture Prayers: Counterpanes
A counterpane is a Scripture prayer practice that can be used with any passage. It involves scattering five or six visual points on a page, connecting them with patterned lines, and then adding words or phrases of prayer inspired by God’s Word. The open areas could also be used for scribing Scripture.
