There are some projects at Visual Faith® Ministry that have a long history of the shared story of what we do. The initial design of this began as a way to help people remember their baptism and celebrate it. We don't celebrate what we don't remember. It may be an archeological dig to unearth some dates and information, but the process certainly helps us to uncover some important faith history and document it in a shareable way. This is the Walking with the Lord project that has been revamped and updated with all sorts of headings and beautiful ephemera.

I have made about 5 storybooks for myself and a number of them for family members in the past 20 years. Some information stays the same-(Baptism and Confirmation dates), but often the current "favorites" tell the story of an evolving faith journey. It is not stagnant, and the Holy Spirit keeps moving the pieces and processes around in our own spiritual formation process. Visual Faith® Ministry invites you to join us in the journey as we document these stories in three Saturday Workshop events, as we join in community to work on and finish this process together. Many of our coaches shared that this was the #1 project they wanted to tackle and FINISH. We thought that some of you might want to join us!!!

Sign up on our Events tab on our website, and the first 70 participants will be mailed the accordion book for this project right to their home. Resources for the project will be downloaded for FREE and included in the confirmation email/reminder email for each of the Saturday events. You will have time to work as you can and learn some tips along the way. Plus, seeing what others do with the same resources is always fun. We know that dates to meet and complete just keep moving us along to the finish line! Of course, you are free to choose your own palette and materials in the design of your book. Our first Workshop day will be on Saturday, Feb 21, 2026. That gives you some time to pull together your information and fill out the worksheet of information that will be the basis for your project (be sure to download and print the packet ahead of time from your confirmation email).

We have learned to be ready for your own spin on these projects. If you want to gather your own group, supply your own "book" or base for the project, you can join us as a group. The whole group can join us with the Zoom link purchased by the leader of the group. Have you been wondering about what you could do in your own community? This is it. We do the teaching and design help. You gather the participants and get ready for the fun.

While we all like creating something beautiful to look at, our focus is on the information - the story of God's Faithfulness in our lives. A close friend gathered the project to work on this a few years back, and soon after, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. She never had the strength to finish this project, and when her husband returned the book empty, he said, "Chris would have loved to have had time to work on this project. I guess I would have loved it too." We don't know when the story changes for us, so join us in 2026 for the Year of the Storytellers!
