This team of coaches from Visual Faith® Ministry recently joined with the Lutheran Women in Mission for a fall gathering in Williamsburg, Virginia. The leaders here are Faye Krans, Teresa Davis,

Lisa Brass, Sally Beck, and Connie Denninger.

Our time together included experimenting with the Secret Code Prayer, Stained Glass prayer,

the Prayer of Lament, and Versicle Prayers to Bless others. Although these prayer practices were new to many, they were warmly received as possible prayer tools.

A Visual Faith event always includes a basic introduction to the what, how, and why that makes sense for what we do. We ALL have the same basic challenge. We ALL need help to slow down, pay attention, and deal with distractions. Factors that make this more complicated are: our various learning styles, our busy schedules, and the distracting quality of our technology and devices.

We try to help make sense of "How This Works." Research shows us that about 75% of children and adults are actually visual kinesthetic learners. We strive to make these practices non-gendered and adaptable for all ages. The resources are tools for the practices that lay a foundation for the transformational work of the Holy Spirit. How do we ABIDE? Become more Christ-like? Learn to be disciples that make disciples?

It helps us when we can SEE to REMEMBER.

Our Creator God has designed us to be wonderfully amazing in the ways we connect in His Word, tell the story of His faithfulness, and intentionally plan a legacy to share with the next generation of His redeeming love. Ideas and formats abound when you get a group of Visual Faith coaches together to share.

Rev. Tim Utton led a wonderful Bible Study for our gathering in Ephesians 3:17. We took a look at our roots and anchoring in Christ. He serves as the Pastoral Advisor to this group of the LWML- Lutheran Women in Mission. He was a blessing in our time together.

We continue to learn how to share these resources and practices with others. In order that we not be limited by space, time, or finances, we are experimenting with a Zoom event presence. This past week, we were with the women in a church basement in Minnesota. We did this same event by Zoom. What might the Lord be asking you to think about in hosting a Visual Faith event?
