I love the idea of counting down to Christmas, the celebration of our Savior's birth.  I also love decorating for Christmas; and so, I designed this calendar with the idea of the houses representing my heart--where I want my Lord to dwell--and decorating it with the names of God that then transition into the names of Jesus.
 
The idea of this advent calendar is to worship Jesus daily from December 1 to December 25.  Worship by coloring, drawing, and/or writing the names of God/Jesus in the same numbered day on the calendar after studying the corresponding Bible passages.  
By taking time to focus on and worship each name, we grow closer to understanding who our LORD is and what He can do for us.  The gift of Jesus coming to this earth is really something to celebrate.
 
The calendar can be completed with colored pencils, crayons, or colored markers. Using a fine-point Sharpie pen (this is non-bleeding) assures there is no smearing when it is time to color in a space. Be creative and share your Advent journey!!!
